Review of Comfort Matters

Comfort Matters is a delightfully dependable company with extraordinary employees. We have been happy customers for years, and Nick M is one of the best reasons why. He is extremely knowledgeable, proficient, and engagingly personable. We plan to remain with Comfort Matters for as long as we need a furnace and air conditioner…which in MN means FOREVER! 🤗

Winter season service.

Review of Comfort Matters

Was called that service could be fine earlier then scheduled and the technician was able to do the inspection and repairs while I was out that was great. Found early indication of a future problem and promptly respired it. Finally technician communicated several times with me to keep me informed. I thought service was great.

Amazing company offering stellar service!

Review of Comfort Matters

Every experience with this company is stellar! Everybody, at all points of contact, is highly focused on providing top notch customer service. Today, we had an old heat pump system removed and a new furnace and separate air conditioner installed. Nick, and his assistant Connor, were as always, professional, knowledgeable, proficient, neat and personable. Nick has been our annual tuneup technician in the past, but has obviously increased his training and skill level, as demonstrated by his expert installation and follow up instructions on our new systems. We are BEYOND satisfied with Comfort Matters, with their team of talented employees, and Nick is a prime example!!!

Wonderful service professional techs

Awesome customer service, all down the line!!!

Review of Comfort Matters

From the office personnel, to the service technicians, to the service itself, a stellar experience! We received pictures and bios of the technicians who were scheduled to arrive at our house as introductions, which I love! Jordan was a miracle worker, who responded immediately with a rapid remedy, when our AC went out. Then we were lucky enough to have him return to do our winter furnace assessment. He is personable, knowledgeable, detail oriented, and informative.Tony, who delivered and installed a part that Jordan had identified as potentially problematic for the AC, was also very knowledgeable, and tolerant as well, allowing us to closely observe his work, while patiently explaining every step of the way, as we plagued him with questions. We are delighted with our experiences with Comfort Matters, and that has kept us as satisfied customers for many years!

Great company, great customer service!

Great professional work!

Professional and Experienced!

Super service; delightful interaction!

Review of Comfort Matters

Our AC failed during this crazy record breaking heat wave. Comfort Matters responded immediately to get us up and running, but in the process identified an additional compromised part, for which we had to wait a few days, which got extended by some unavoidable issues/emergencies. Through it all, the main office was continuously in contact with timely updates by phone; we were given “introductions” to each scheduled technician, with photo and bio, by text, for ready identification of authorized arrivals; and were helpfully shown what/why/how the repairs were accomplished. We were beyond pleased by Comfort Matters’ support, service, and all interactions!!! Many thanks to the multiple office personnel, who maintained contact, and to Jordan, who initially got us cooling again, and Anthony who completed the repairs and obligingly put up with our inquisitive hovering, providing in-depth explanations. Kudos to Comfort Matters on assembling a GREAT team!!!

Perfomed AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Customer had stated ac was freezing up. Confirmed it was low on refigerant . Customer opted to charge system with R22. Charged system and added in leak sealant and locking seal caps to prevent further leaks. Explained sealant is only a bandaid fix and I do encourage replacement sooner rather than later. System is now cooling properly.

Customer experienced not hot water once and found an error code on the display of the tankless water heater. Called tech support and they confirmed the issue and are shipping out a new board which will arrive at our shop next Wednesday or Thursday. We will return next Friday between 10-2pm to install the new board. We will need to make sure the dip switches are the same. Scott was informed to just unplug the heater and plug back in if there are any more issues in the meantime.

Ac not operating upon arrival.after further diagnostics I found that the ac fan was still operating, however the compressor was not. I then found that the compressor wires have been melted. I do believe this is due to the ac fins being all beat up and damaged. I do highly recommend looking into replacement of the whole system to avoid any further issues or high costing repairs.

DUCTLESS NOT WORKING AGAIN. UNIT WAS OFF UPON ARRIVAL. OUTDOOR UNIT WAS FLASHING GREEN LED WHICH MEANS NORMAL OPERATION AND RED LEDS 1,3,AND 4 WERE ON SOLID RED. NOTHING IN THE BOOK REFFERED TO THOSE BEING ERROR CODES. UNIT IS CAPABLE OF RUNNING A WIRING CHECK AND IT LETS YOU KNOW WEATHER THE WIRING CAN BE SELF FIXED THROUGH UNIT OR IF THERES WIRING ISSUES THAT PHYSICALLY NEED TO BE FIXED. AFTER TEST UNIT WENT INTO NORMAL OPERATION. SOAP BUBBLED FLARE FITTING AND FOUND SMALL LEAK ON KITCHEN SUCTION LINE. FIXED FLARE AND PRESSURE TESTED TO 516psi. LET SIT FOR 30 MINUTES AND PRESSURE WENT UP TO 522psi. PULLED VACCUM ON UNIT AND ADDED 6lbs 14oz. 6.17 IS FACTORY CHARGE. TURNED ON ALL HEADS AND CONFIRMED THEY WERE COOLING. CHECKED FILTERS AND NOTICED ALL OF THEM BUT THE KITCHEN NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. PULLED FILTERS, RINSED WITH WATER AND RE-INSTALLED. TOLD CUSTOMER TO LET UNITS RUN FOR A COUPLE HOURS THIS EVENING AMD MAKE SURE THEY RUN AS THEY SHOULD.

Homeowner got "E5" error code for "OL Activation or overheating of compressor" I spoke with tech support right away and they had me test the EEV and all of the thermistors. All of these tested within the correct OHM range. When I called tech support back to confirm my numbers he had me check my charge. I weighed out the refrigerant and I pulled out 4lb 4oz. This is down 2lb from when I was out last week and pressure tested and charged it back up. This time I was able to put 500psi in, instead of 400psi. I was still not able to locate a leak. I soap bubbled every connection and the psi never dropped. I had it hold at 500psi for an hour, with no movement. I then checked all the flare connections ay the unit. I pulled a vacuum and charge the unit back up to the required charge.

Homeowner stated they got an error code "F3 - high temperature discharge pipe control" tech support stated this code is usually cause by a restriction, faulty thermistor or low refrigerant. I wasn't getting any pressure in the suction side when running the furthest head (which is the head that had the most issues with) and the high side was only at 180. I weighed out the refrigerant and the unit is shipped with 6lb 2.75oz of refrigerant and 10oz was added at time of install for 6lb 12.75oz total. I weighed out 4lb 11oz of refrigerant. I pressure tested all the linesets to 406psi. They held for 15min. I then pulled a vacuum on the sytem, including the condenser, and it got down to 330 microns and held at 1050 microns. I weighed in 6lb 12.75oz of R-410A and tested operation. Kitchen/living room unit now cools a lot better.

Ac was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics I found that motor booster was completely failed and therefore not allowing the air conditioner to turn on. I replaced the motor booster and the ac kicked on right away. I then found that the system is low on refrigerant, this means that there is a leak somewhere within the refrigerant system. With this being said I would highly recommend looking into replacing the ac system to avoid any high costing repairs or unneeded issues.
