AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Senior technician to follow up with homeowner to run a few test where I was not able to.

Mark tried to replace his pressure reduction valve and his cpvc piping snapped. Piping is brittle due to material, chemicals in water, and age. Installed new house side shut off and Marks pressure reduction valve. Found a leaking joint downstream on cpvc piping which we need to come back tomorrow to repair. We are scheduled to arrive 12-4pm tomorrow to return.

Found ac to be low on charge after setting up to fill found that the furnace fan would kick out randomly. Very hot to the touch. De died with said problems and age that replacement would be the better option. Portable AC brought out.

Customer informed me that there was a rattling noise coming from condenser unit. Upon inspection, I noticed that the noise was coming from the locking cap on the liquid line. Customer agreed to remove locking cap and replace with standard cap. Rattling noise is gone now.

Unit off upon arrival. Turned it on to test operation. Diagnosed system to have a failed motor booster. Swapped it out, unit is now cooling. Due to age and condition, replacement is highly recommended. AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. If considering replacement, call to schedule a no cost estimate within the next two weeks to be able to utilize the repair credit towards replacement.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found no issues with air conditioner, homeowner has a power saver connected to system. The power company will shutoff the voltage going to the ac if temps are high outside. Also homeowner has a nest thermostat and she stated that it would be in a eco mode, this will raise the set temperature inside the home so it doesn’t send a signal to cool down. All other recommendations declined at this time. With age replacement may be encouraged in the near future.

Returned to install new Water heater ignition system. Replace and test operation. As water heater consistently ran, noticed knocking from tank. This is due to sediment build up in tank. Recommend drain tanking and trying to flush sediment out of tank. Water heater operating as normal now.

Found system to be low on refrigerant and leaking out of the liquid line. Recovered old refrigerant out of unit into new reclaim tank, fixed leak, and return refrigerant back into unit. Added extra that was needed and tested system with measure quick. Everything seems to be working at this time.

AC was working when I arrived. Tested static pressure, temperature split, blower amps and blower capacitor. Also checked blower fan speed. Everything is in working order. It is possible that the indoor coil froze up due to poor airflow from a dirty filter and high static pressure. The saver switch could have contributed to the cooling issue. Sending estimate for indoor air quality products and will follow up with customer I’m a couple of weeks.

Customer informed the AC unit is not running. Said he was able to spin the fan and it started for a moment then shut off again. I inspected the motor booster on the ac unit and tested microfarads of motor booster. Motor booster was failing. I replaced with upgraded motor. Fan motor was able to run but compressor would not start. I then poured some cool water over compressor to try to get it to cool down. Compressor eventually started but very loud. Customer was provided a price for replacement unit.

Customer informed me AC was not blowing cold air out of vents. Upon inspection, I noticed a very dirty 4” filter that customer had recently pulled out of return. I informed customer that likely the evap coil was not getting enough air flow due to a dirty filter and caused evap coil to freeze, which would not allow air to flow throughout the house. Customer also told me there was a lot of water around the floor drain where the evap drain line sits. That was likely due to the ice melting in evap coil. I inspected the evap coil and it is no longer frozen and is clean. I informed customer to get a new filter and clean outside unit. Temp splits are good and system is functioning as it should.

Please bill. Went over each unit with Chad and how to maintain them better. Installed 2 turbos on units 1 and 2. Checked temp splits and over all unit operation.
