John has been here twice now on two unrelated matters. I appreciate that not only are repairs made quickly, but John takes time to educate us on our total systems, not just on what was fixed.
Good service, said what I expected generally.
Reis - Otsego, MN
Very professional. I had an idea of what was going on but wasn’t totally sure. He didn’t try to sell a fix. He told me what what could wrong and what the next steps are to having them out to complete the repair. Another partial trip charge to fix the issue along with the part needed would be added if they did the repair.
Great service

Appreciate the early appointment! Technician did great on the tune up and humidifier explanations. Still waiting on humidity level to increase in home above 36%, and technician said he would get back to us on why thermostat outdoor reading (and potentially indooor) are incorrect. I also did program the main thermostat as he showed but the other zones don’t appear to match the programming as they keep doing their own thing? Who knows. Maybe when he gets back to me the recommendation may be to replace outdoor sensors and restart system?
Great service

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Customer noted that the furnace breaker tripped, system was on upon arrival. After performing the tuneup I started digging into the furnace and what could have caused the breaker to trip. I then found that the furnace door switch has arced on the box of the furnace. This must have been caused from water pooling up around the door switch, unfortunately I was unable to pin point where the water was coming from. Also found multiple other issues with the ac and furnace. Overall with the age of the system and cost of repairs needed, I highly recommend looking into replacement of the entire system. All repairs declined at this time.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Blower wheel is extremely dirty said that he would like to take care of it this fall.

Homeowner informed me that he has had water leaking from under furnace a couple times. Happened yesterday but did not leak overnight and wasn’t leaking upon arrival. I inspected the furnace filter and noticed it was a pleated filter and was dirty. Advised customer to use cheap fiberglass filters and change them monthly. Used my camera to inspect blower wheel and return boot. Noticed there was water marks inside return boot and water spots on blower wheel. Informed homeowner that if there is a restriction of airflow from the furnace filter, the evaporator coil will freeze due to lack of air flow which can cause water to leak outside of drain pan. Drain lines were clean and evaporator coil was clean.

The unit was giving a code of failed ignition due to the flame sensor after further inspection of the unit found that replacement would be a better option with age and condition of unit.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Recommended new blower wheel motor due to oil leaking and motor getting warmed. Recommended drain pan treatment to prevent build up and to keep the drain line clear and a start assist kit to help extend the life of the compressor.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Recommended motor booster for blower wheel motor; testing out of range, blower wheel cleaning to help better air flow and take stress off the motor, motor starter due to pitted, start assist kit to help extend the life of the compressor and locking caps to meet MN code and prevent theft and leak of refrigerant. Home owner signed up for the sunshine club.

Homeowner had complained of water leaking from furnace area. Checked airflow, refrigerant levels, and drain line and found no issues. Also checked air speed and that was also correct. Told homeowner they would have to document what time, day, temperatures and pictures around the system to properly identify issue.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Unit was extremely dirty put gauges on to confirm pressures were the cause of low cooling levels.. cleaned off unit and signed up on annual membership.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Homeowner complained that the system would work half the time and the other half not. Also seemed like it would never get to temp and struggled. With what I found the return air duct that’s going back to the furnace is very undersized and causing a high restriction in airflow. Airflow is very important to a system as a ac needs a certain amount of airflow to cool properly. Also potentially found an issue with the compressor on the system only working half of the time and struggling to start. Would encourage replacement due to condition of this system.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Recommended drain pan treatment to prevent biological growth and build up, surge protector to prevent power surges into electrical components and vent screen to prevent small cutter to get inside and cause damage to the furnace. Unplugged the air exchanger due to safety upgrade program - SUP 2006, also let home owner know to reach out to Venmar.

Arrived to the home and the AC was not running. After running a test on the motor booster, determined that it had failed. Explained to customer that the compressor and/or fan could be damaged as well. Installed new motor booster and tested operation. Customer joined sunshine club and set up a home advisor visit with Chris.

Ac was not operating upon arrival. After turning the system on and performing diagnostics I found that the ac fan motor has failed. In order to properly test the entire system out we would have to start by replacing the fan and make sure the unit is running accordingly. Overall with the systems age and the cost to repair I do highly recommend replacing the entire system. All repairs declined at this time.

Found that the low pressure cut off switch was faulty. The ac was alittle low and only putting out around 10 degrees of cooling. House was at 84 when tech left. They will decide was they want to do.. didn’t want to spend 800 plus dollars on refilling the system. Unit is currently running just not efficiently.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Customer noted that there was water around the furnace. After further inspection I found that the drain line had gunk built up in the line. I ran water through the drain line from the sink and cleaned out the line now the water is draining properly.

Installed furnace limit switch.

Found units compressor not running . Replaced motor booster with turbo and tested and found that refrigerant levels were low. Filled with refrigerant and tested with measure quick. Also looked at replacement options and dehumidifier and air exchanger.

Anthony G.
Ac was not operating upon arrival. After further diagnostics I found that the ac has no refrigerant within the system. This means that there is a leak somewhere within the refrigeration system. With the current age of the ac and the repairs needed to get the unit up and working. I do highly suggest looking into replacing the system to avoid any high costing repairs or unnecessary break downs.

Customer noted that the furnace would make a odd noise every once in awhile. After assessing the furnace and inspecting all components I found that the blower motor was not properly positioned inside its housing. This was causing the fan blades to rub up against the blower housing therefore causing a scraping like noise. I removed the blower cleaned the fan blades off and then repositioned the motor in its proper spot. As of now the noise is gone and everything is up and working the way it should.
