I had called in when i saw a leak from the flue tube. Daniel was through in his diagnosis and identified the issue with the exhaust pipe that was no longer in use. He sealed the pipe to stop the leak. He also inspected the attic to make sure there wasn't any other source of leaks which was going above and beyond.

I’ve always been happy with their service and Cody did a great job. I tend to ask a lot of questions with new options for our A/C or furnace and he was great explaining things and helping me understand it all in common terms. We recommend Comfort Matters to everyone we know.

Bradley was very professional and thorough in inspecting the source of the water. He arrived exactly when he said he’d be here and didn’t waste time getting to work. He also did a great job of explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. I hope I get to continue to work with him going forward.
Good diagnosis of problem.

With a 28 year old furnace and air conditioner, the bad news is I will be replacing them both -- ac was no longer working and both are quite old. I was thankful that the same technician who came out 1-1/2 weeks ago was able to return so quickly to evaluate what went wrong with the system. He laid out the options and we both agreed on the direction to go. I appreciate his knowledge and ability to quickly diagnose the problem.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Recommended locking caps, new motor booster, rodent screens and a blower wheel cleaning. Blower wheel in furnace is dirty reducing air flow/efficiency, pulled and cleaned blower wheel. Reassemble and tested operation. Installed rodent screens and locking caps. Will come back to install motor booster. Secondary heat exchanger is plugged up creating high carbon monoxide in exhaust pipe. Will order and install new heat exchanger.

Cut a rectangular hole in the exterior drywall of the basement to cut out and replace the exterior faucet that was broken. Installed new threaded faucet with backflow device. Checked for leaks. To winterize the outside faucet: 1st shut off the water valve in the basement to the outside faucet. Second, open the faucet outside and remove the hose and any fittings including the backflow device. Last, remove the drain cap on the interior shut off valve.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Recommended drain pan treatment to prevent biological growth and to keep the drain line clear. Recommended start assist kit to help extend the life of the compressor.

Customer explained how 3 system have not been working. Unit #4 is completely out of refrigerant. That means there is a large leak in system. Due to age and condition and cost of repair, replacement is the best option. System number #6 fan was running and compressor was not. Performed a cleaning on outdoor coil, and cooled compressor down. After cleaning it was completed and compressor was cool, reapplied power to ac, compressor would still not start. Due to the changes of potentially needing a compressor, I did not continue to furthur diagnose system, will have Jacob follow up with replacement pricing. Lastly customer explained how unit #3 froze up and filter was plugged. Customer said how system did not freeze today. Filter is not on system currently. Would recommend getting proper filter size for furnace as soon as possible, if it freezes up again, we can run a diagnostics on it or look at replacement.

Ac drain line was partially plugged up upon arrival. After further diagnostics I found that the first fitting coming off of the drain line had quite a bit of gunk built up inside of it. I removed this fitting and cleaned it out and put back in its spot, I then found that the fitting itself was too small for the drain line. I replaced the drain fitting with a brand new one and everything connected up tight again. I then watched the system as I was performing further tests and found everything to be up and working leak free once again. If any further water is spotted on or around the furnace, call us right away and we can dig in to the system deeper.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Due to age of current system and condition I highly recommend looking into replacing the furnace and ac to avoid any high costing repairs or unneeded issues.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Customer explained how system was not keeping up. Thermostat on main level read 69F. My thermometer read 76F in room. Thermostat is over 30 years old and no longer accurate. Also, the airflow for the cooling was set incorrectly. It was set to 1600 cfm, I set it 1200cfm. This will allow a better temperature split on system. I will return Friday afternoon to do a air conditioner and zoning estimate. Did also install vent screens on intake and exhaust of furnace.

Found the motor starting to show signs of wear and tear, to prevent this part from failing would suggest getting that replaced. Also encourage to install a start assist kit, this will help prolong the life of the outdoor unit. Also encouraged to inject a synthetic oil to help the efficiency and reduce electrical bills on the air conditioner. All recommendations have been declined at this time of maintenance.

Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Homeowner complained about 2nd floor thermostat not functioning properly, this is due to not having the proper wiring up on the second floor. Also found the current zoning to be old and outdated to guarantee proper operation we would need to redo all zoning components with the proper thermostats. All recommendations declined at this time.
